There is nothing that is mandatory on the list but Coach McCoy would like for the players to have red shorts and navy shirts for practice and weight room. 

There are two shirts on the order: Adidas Alphaskin short sleeve top (White or Navy). Some of the boys wear this shirt to practice in or wear under their jersey on gameday. This shirt has a number slot for you to fill in when ordering. You have three options- 1-Your son needs to talk with Coach McCoy about a number or 2-You can pick no number  or 3- You can pick a random number that won't necessarily match the uniform number. 

My input: We have made it to the finals the past two years and the last five or so games are really cold. Your player will need some tights. They can purchase plain white at a sporting goods store if you don't want the Metro logo ones offered. They can also buy long navy socks to wear over the white tights if we have a blue out game. The other option is purchasing the blue tights and the white tights offered. The seniors will dictate the team uniform color combo for each game. 

This will be the only time we have a large order for football this year. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Happy New Year & This Week January 5-9th

 Happy New Year Patriot Families! 

I hope and pray that you have had a wonderful holiday season and are rested and ready for a new semester that begins on Tuesday! For those of you that are already thinking about what this coming week will look like: 

Tuesday, January 5th- Players report to 7th Hour Football. May be possible to check in all football gear. They will not work out during this time.

The boys need to be prepared to completely clean their lockers and to bring practice/workout gear on Wednesday for off season/other sports.

Players can go to other sports on Tuesday if they have a Spring Sport after 7th hour ends.

Seniors on the ski trip will check in gear at a later time. 

In the coming weeks Coach McCoy will be doing a team meeting and an exit interview for each player. We will let you know as this timing becomes available.

Coming Soon:

Football Banquet- Tuesday, January 26. Location: Rhema Youth Building. (still pending Tulsa Health Department approval)

Championship Patch- Will be available to order soon. Pre-order only. Approximate cost $22

Championship Ring- Will be available soon. Pre-order only. (Last year it was ordered at the Banquet.). Approximate cost $300.

Coaching Staff Appreciation- some have asked how we as a football team show appreciation to our staff. Usually we have a place for each coach, head trainer and equipment manager to receive cards at the banquet. (10 Total: Coach McCoy, Coach Taylor, Coach Nussbaum, Coach Clyburn, Coach Blankenship, Coach Blake, Coach Schooley, Coach Bacon, Coach Kimberly, and Lane Phillips) Many players/families have a card for each one and can include a gift card to show appreciation to our staff.

Saturday-

7:45 AM Booster Club will provide Chicken biscuit, hash browns, juice & water.

8:20 AM Bus Leaves- The players will all ride the bus together to the game. Cliff bars provided. 

11:00 AM Protein Bars, Grapes, Oranges, and Water provided.

12:30 PM Moms Prayer front row of the stands

1:00 PM Championship Game

4:00ish PM Moms Closing Prayer and Thanksgiving North End Zone

4:20ish PM Pizza, Bundt Cakes, Gatorade & Water for After Game Meal

6:00ish PM Fans meet at Metro to welcome the team home! Fans cheer for the team as they get off and unload the bus. This is a special time for players, coaches and families that come to celebrate. Please join us!

From Coach McCoy- It is our team philosophy that we want to take pressure off of our kids by not overdoing it this week. As a coaching staff and community we have had lots of experience with big games and in our experience unusual pregame/big game celebrations that happen tend to add pressure on our kids. We prefer to celebrate BIG TIME, when we win, instead of celebrating that we made it!!! Thank you for an amazing year! We've all felt super blessed and supported by our families and community.

Banquet Information: We are looking forward to celebrating with you and thanking the Lord for this wonderful football season together! Our plan for our year end Metro Football Banquet has a tentative date of Tuesday, January 26. The COVID-19 Safety plan has been submitted to the Tulsa Health Department and we are awaiting its approval.
