Team News:
We have hired Harrison Blake to finish the season as our OL Coach. He knows most of the kids and the Metro system and should be a great fit! Harrison is having to balance his college classes for the next couple of weeks through Thanksgiving. Please pray for him as he pulls double duty and begins helping our guys to continue to find success on the field.
Coaches and
Players,
We are hoping
and planning to compete for the next 6 weeks in the playoffs. With six weeks
left, none of us would think it would be okay to quit preparing physically (to
stop all conditioning and all weight training). None of us, I hope, would think
that we already know enough about our potential opponents and about how to run
our plays so that we don’t need to practice or prepare any further. In a
greater way – it is imperative that we continue to grow together spiritually.
It is the desire of our coaches that we play this game differently than others
– that we play in a way that finds great joy in this game but that honors the
Lord and brings Him glory. Join me in reading through the Proverbs over the
next 6 weeks side by side to that end.
