This is for those of you that were unable to join us this evening. 

1- Update on Summer Workouts. Policy and Procedures.

-Maybe the best attendance of any week Metro has ever had!

-Week went well

-Please remind boys to stay at cars and not congregate until they are called. 

-They are doing all they can to keep the congregating levels low. 

2- OSSAA waived dead period however dead period will remain in effect for Metro June 27-July 5. No Camps/practice will be going on at this time. 

3- Summer Attendance Policy

- Your player has 6 Days that they can miss. 

-Stressed that workout training helps prepare players bodies and injury prevention. 

-If you need beyond this amount.....Tell Coaches. For every additional day Coaches will add additional conditioning at the end of practice for your son. 

-If things change and Covid concerns are the reason you are not able to attend please talk with Coaches. 

4- Super Important to plan on Metro Football Camp. July 7-10th. 

5- In the works....possible Team Camp. A couple of schools are interested in coming together for a glorified practice. Possibly practicing half of the field per team. Will update as becomes available. 

6- Welcome Coach Tyler Bacon! Coaching staff is so excited about this addition!

7- Optional Purchase through Midwest- Face Shields for player helmets

Players can choose to order if they would like to. Cost will be $20. More information coming.

8- Team order has been extended to June 23. Please see separate email for ordering information.

9- Senior Retreat. We are wanting this to happen. May look a little different. This will start to come together and more information will be available in the weeks to come.

10- Theme- Every year the football team usually has a theme. Sometimes this is determined by Seniors. Sometimes the team uses Coach Blankenship's theme from the spiritual conditioning for the year. Please pray with us as we ask the boys and see where the Lord is leading as a focus for this coming year. Last year it was "Raise the Bar"

11- Helmets- Coach McCoy says that we currently have a good supply. Usually in the spring we are able to order special discounted ones but that didn't happen this year. It is always welcomed and appreciated for parents to donate to this fund if someone feels led to. You can contact Coach McCoy or Tanda Francis. Our players currently have 2 Helmets: White & Navy.

12- PLEASE COMMUNICATE TO YOUR SONS-- Coaches would like to see PLAYER LED throwing and catching after morning workouts. Coaches would like to see kids step up and stay to work on those skills when we cannot currently do that as a team. 

13- The Fall Schedule is available and will be posted shortly. I will be posting it to our website as well. 

14- Adidas- The school does have a contract with Adidas. Our preference is that you wear this brand if possible. One of the things this brings to the team is unity which is valued. If you currently have gear or cannot do this please make sure they are as close to the team color chosen as possible. (Ex: Cleats. White or White w/Navy)

15- Physicals. Players will need a team physical on file with Kimberly Taylor (formerly Claybaugh- she got married!!) You can email her the forms to ktaylor@metroca.com (the old address will work as well that was already sent out)

16- Booster Club Fees will be due in August. We will plan to have a fall meeting at that time. Last year the fee per player was $255. We have not finalized our budget yet but are close. We are working to get this fee available to be paid via cashapp.

17- Football Sport Fee will be due in August $100 that goes to Metro.
